...is a hand-built showcase for independent voices. Every episode spotlights artists who are creating outside the machine, from shimmering indie pop to bruised-knuckle rock, left-field electronica, and late-night singer-songwriter confessions. The guiding principle is simple: music for music lovers.
Host blckjcksn brings a crate-digging mindset—pursuing songs that speak, not just stream. We skip the algorithmic rinse cycle and the pay-to-playlist scams to find artists with vision, craft, and grit. If the first words you heard on our pilot were a nod to Kinematic and their track Don’t Be Afraid, that was a statement of intent.

How It Works

Why is there a $10 fee?
I'm glad you asked!
It’s simple: the $10 fee is what keeps the lights on. It pays for the technology that powers Sonic Scout Radio, helped us build a groundbreaking app, and allows us to keep it fresh and updated in ways that matter — for both listeners and artists.
Every episode takes dozens of hours to curate, research, and produce. Each presenter on Sonic Scout Radio builds their own show from the ground up, and while it’s absolutely a labor of love, love alone doesn’t cover 24/7 broadcast costs. The $10 contribution simply lightens the load so we can keep independent music alive and streaming worldwide.
And if $10 isn’t possible right now, that’s okay — there are other ways to do this. Check out my Patreon page for options to back Audio Underground and indie music at any level. Each tier comes with perks like monthly downloads, access to working playlists, and exclusive Audio Underground merch you won’t find anywhere else. Every tier allows those artists who can't cover the $10 to be heard anyway.
